I've been a district educational technology leader, a high school instructional specialist and coach, and a middle and high school theatre arts teacher, play director, and technical director. I am passionate about helping students and teachers learn to infuse technology and creativity into their instruction.

It's our current learners who will make the future. It doesn't matter if they are kindergarteners learning to log in to a Chromebook for the first time, 12th graders learning to code or create complex CAD designs, or people already in the workforce learning new skills to better serve their clients; "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow," and our learners are the ones who will decide what it will look like. I believe that it is my responsibility to facilitate our learners while they prepare themselves to make this future.

I have provided leadership and guidance to my team of 14 instructional coaches, a library coordinator, a lead instructional technology coach, and (prior to hiring the library coordinator,) the district's team of library media specialists. I have been a part of several major district initiatives including the crafting of our strategic and district of innovation plans. I have advocated for needed positions on my team, and I was instrumental to the creation of a brand new instructional position designed to partner with teachers to facilitate the integration of fabrication and design thinking skills into their work.
I constantly ask myself why we are doing what we are doing. If it's right, I seek to support it. If it is outdated, I advocate for change.
